About Spray Foam Insulation Traverse City
Spray Foam Insulation Traverse City insulates year-round homes, cottages, garages and pole barns across the Grand Traverse region: Traverse City and its townships, the Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas, and inland to Interlochen, Kingsley and Kalkaska. We spray closed-cell and open-cell foam, seal and insulate attics to fight ice dams, insulate basements, rim joists and crawl spaces, and insulate new homes and additions while the walls are open.
Each job starts on site. We look at the attic, the basement or crawl space and any outbuilding you want covered, measure what insulation is there and check its condition. Up here that usually means attics that cannot hold back a winter of heavy snow without forming ice dams, cottages that were built for July and are now used in January, bare rim joists, and steel buildings that drip. We also look for things insulation should never hide: roof leaks, wet sills, live knob-and-tube wiring or vermiculite.
Then you get the plan in writing. Each area is listed with the material, thickness, R-value and price. We use spray foam where it clearly outperforms the alternatives and recommend sealing and blown-in where that does the job for less. If you need a roofer or electrician first, we say so.
